Each player’s story was different, so our template had to be flexible enough to accommodate everything from old grainy photos to archive home camera footage, and still hang together as cohesive narratives. Key to this was interviewing the players to fill in gaps in our research, and get their unique perspective on their early days growing up.

We wanted to inspire the young European basketball fan and demonstrate that the path to NBA greatness is theirs for the taking, if they want it badly enough. Alongside stories of hardship and tough knocks, there was a common thread of dedication from all 5 athletes that they had what it takes to overcome anything and come out of nowhere.
